Saakashvili officially declared winner in Georgian presidential election |

TBILISI. Jan 13 (Interfax) - Georgia's Central Elections Commission has declared Mikheil Saakashvili, the presidential candidate of Georgia's governing party, winner in the January 5 snap presidential election.
Saakashvili has won 53.4% of the votes, the Central Elections Commission said in a statement, signed by seven of the 13 Commission members.
The Commission members representing the opposition refused to sign the statement, saying the election had been rigged. sd |
