Saakashvili carries presidential elections in Georgia |

TBILISI, January 13 (Itar-Tass) - The Georgian Central Election Commission approved the final results of the presidential elections on January 5 at its meeting on Sunday. In accordance with the final election results, the victory was carried by Mikhail Saakashvili, collecting 53.47 percent of the vote, Itar-Tass learnt at the Georgian CEC.
Candidate from the National Council of the Opposition (NC is a radical opposition) Levan Gachechiladze gained 25.69 percent of the electorate. |
