Anti-mafia department chief gunned down in Nalchik |

NALCHIK, Kabardino-Balkaria, January 13 (Itar-Tass) - The head of the anti-organized crime department of the Interior Ministry of Kabardino-Balkaria, the North Caucasus, has been killed in the republic's capital of Nalchik, a law enforcement source told Itar-Tass.
Anatoly Kyarov's car was attacked by unidentified gunmen at around 22:30 Moscow time on Saturday. Kyarov received deadly wounds. He died in the republic’s clinical hospital in Nalchik.
Police in Kabardino-Balkaria have been put on alert. Special police operations have been launched to catch the attackers. |
